Hi and Welcome

This website details our overland trip from London to Singapore. It's always been in the back of our minds that we'd like to take a trip on the Trans Siberian railway. We tried to do it the first time back in 2001 but as Richard was on a SA passport with hardly any pages left we could not get a new passport for all the visas required sorted out in time. Instead at that time we left for an overland trip through Southern Africa - taking in Zimbabwe, Botswana, Namibia and ending in South Africa (FYI, some pics here).

Several years later and we're busy earning a living in London and saving money, ostensibly for a deposit on our first flat. Then we had a flash of inspiration..instead of doing the sensible thing and settling down, why not blow some cash on a big holiday instead? After all, the most sensible thing is not always the best thing.

So here we are about to set off on our journey. We thought we'd incorporate the Trans Sib into a bigger journey and hope to get all the way down to Singapore overland from London. Watch this space to see if we manage it...
